Aldakan was born in 2017 purely for fun between a group of friends with a shared love of Afro-Latin beats and the pleasure of playing, learning and sharing each discovery. Almost all of its members had formerly worked together in the Gasteiz Big Band, Ortophonk and Turukutupa.

Their love of connecting with the audience provides the soul of this project, an idea repeated in every concert with their selected repertoire of beats including Cumbia, Funk, Afrobeat, Chamame, Songo, Festejo, Plena and Swing.

At the end of the day, a concert by Aldakan is a celebration where dance and coolness combine.
