Born in California but bred in the New York scene, Bruce Barth is a pianist lauded by many as one of the leading lights in recent decades. Backed by solid training yet still at a very young age, he set out on a professional career alongside hallowed musicians like Stanley Turrentine, Terence Blanchard and Stan Getz. He was the pianist and music director with the backing group of legendary singer Tony Bennett and has featured on the soundtracks of movies helmed by Spike Lee.
A long-standing recipient of critical acclaim, The New York Times listed him amongst the most interesting pianists of his generation. Barth has an extensive catalogue of albums with different labels, has performed at festivals worldwide and enjoys profound respect and admiration among critics, musicians and audiences on all continents.
