This Is The Kit is the project of Paris-via-Bristol singer/songwriter Kate Stables, creator with a group of collaborators of a personal indie-folk sound, subtly rhythmic and literary, aiming to make a mark with her elegant positive approach.
While their first two albums, Krulle Bol (2008) and Wriggle Out The Restless (2012) barely made a splash, their third, Bashed Out (2015), was released to specialised critical acclaim resulting in This Is The Kit opening for artists including The National, Iron & Wine, Sharon Van Etten and Herman Dune.
Moonshine (2017) and Off Off On (2020) have consolidated the project as one of the most unusual and interesting on the indie-folk scene. Stables’ voice is the perfect vehicle for delivering the messages and melodies of this unique project.
