57 free copies of the poster by Ane Pikaza as an NFT
The 57th San Sebastian Jazz Festival will mint and publish a limited NFT edition (57 copies) of this year’s festival poster, designed by Ane Pikaza and entitled Jazzaldiaren Besarkada. The copies will be available, free of charge, from 22 June at 11:30 via our website, where you can submit your request (one copy only per person until all 57 copies have gone). The website will also explain the NFT format, how it works, and how to submit a request.
This initiative represents our first step with this technology enabling us to offer a service to anyone wishing to acquire and collect this type of artistic creations, generated by Jazzaldia in digital format and delivered with authentication.
Information on the steps to be followed to request an NFT is now available on our website. Applicants can obtain a single copy per person at a cost of €0 until all 57 copies have gone.
To create this process and set it in motion we have collaborated with the company Bakarts. For the process of creating these NFTs we have worked with the Polygon blockchain. Thanks to its technology, this network offers extremely low energy consumption in its NFT transactions and creation processes. The energy needed to generate an NFT with this platform is the equivalent of a credit card transaction.
