Pere Bujosa Trio

Pere Bujosa (double bass), Diego Hervalejo (piano), Joan Terol (drums)

Mallorcan musician Pere Bujosa was born and raised in a family of melomaniacs where they listened to all sorts of music, from classical to bands like The Rolling Stones. Following an earlier classical education, he later progressed to modern and Jazz music. He completed his studies at the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona, the University of North Texas and Amsterdam Conservatory.

Bujosa has worked with musicians such as Antonio Serrano, Ben Van Gelder, Irene Reig and Salvador Sobral. He has performed at myriad European festivals and halls and already has four albums to his name, all of which have enjoyed widespread critical and public acclaim. In 2023 the Plataforma Jazz España gave him its Jazz España Award for Best Emerging Project.

The music played by this trio reflects Bujosa’s love of textures and rhythm, with a Jazz formula hinting at influences of rock, electronic and free improvisation.
