Alejandra Artiel Trio

The Alejandra Artiel Trio was created in late 2023 in an around Musikene (Higher School of Music of the Basque Country). The project consists of the development of the largely original music of trumpet player Alejandra Artiel, though arranged by all the members of the group. The group feeds on a very broad range of music and this can be seen in their music, in which there are clear overtones of classical, flamenco, electronic, experimental/ambient and, most of all, contemporary Jazz. Music with a solid classical and Jazz base, but which is also free, experimental and melodic.

The group, which was one of those selected for the IMPULSO artistic residency in 2024, promoted by the Jazzon Aretoa club, has its sights set on making its first record in 2025.
