Biper Swing was born in 2010 in Souraïde, thanks to two guitarists who were passionate to share and take swing, French style, to wider audiences, strongly inspired by the creator of this style, Django Reinhardt.
In 2014, Briard brought in Estor as the second guitarist for the group. Together they worked on a repertoire of some one hundred works, which they played in performances in south west France throughout all of that year. From 2019 onwards, they also brought in a double bass player as well as a clarinettist, Ward and Clermont. With these two new musicians, the group could finally delve seriously into the French “Hot Club” spirit, reinterpret Jazz standards, as well as begin to compose.
