Donostia has 5 airports in a radius of barely 100 kilometres, 3 of them internationals. 20 kilometres away from the centre of the city we have the Airport of San Sebastian. This airport, located on the town of Hondarribia, is connected with the principal cities of Spain, Madrid and Barcelona.

Few kilometres away we can also find the Airport of Bilbao, connected with everywhere in Europe, and the Airport of Biarritz, where French and low-cost airlines operate.

In the middle of the city, located on France Avenue, you can find the main train station, called “Estación del Norte”. The services offered by Renfe make possible the connection between most of the Spanish capitals and some European cities such as Paris and Lisbon.

The city also has another railway network , that connects San Sebastian with France (Hendaye), Bilbao and many localities of the Basque shore. You can find this station in Easo Square.


Getting to Donostia/ San Sebastian by car is very easy. The city is connected to the rest of Spain and to France by National Road N1/AP1 (Madrid-Irun), the A-8 (Bilbao-Irun) and A-63 (Paris-Irun) motorways, and the A-15 trunk road (Pamplona-San Sebastian).

Donostia has a subterranean parking network and a regulated public parking system, altogether, more than 6000 parking places available.

There is a caravan park available with 20 parking places, illumination, water intake and waste treatments area. The area shares the system of parking meters for cars, as in the rest of the city, and there is a 48 hours maximum stay time.
