Carole Alston (vocals), Enric Peidro (tenor sax), Richard Busiakiewicz (piano), Ignasi Gonzalez (double bass), Roger Gutiérrez (drums)

Hailing from Washington DC and with her distinctly personal voice, Alston has developed her extensive professional career alternating her activity in the field of Jazz, taking to the stage in myriad festivals and clubs all over the world, with theatre where, apart from her extraordinary vocal skills, she has also demonstrated her talent as an actress, working in musicals under the direction of great masters such as Leonard Bernstein, who made his admiration for Alston plain on numerous occasions.

The singer, who has performed on all five continents, has an impressive list of Jazz recordings to her name, particularly including her album My Little Brown Book (2015) dedicated to the compositions of the great Billy Strayhorn, released to extraordinary acclaim from the specialised critics. As far as her activity in musical theatre is concerned, on her curriculum we can find famous hits including Jesus Christ Superstar (A. Lloyd Webber), Kiss Me, Kate (Cole Porter) “West Side Story” and “Trouble in Tahiti” the last two under the orders of Leonard Bernstein.

Alston combines her singing activities with teaching and is head of Jazz Performance at the Jazz Institute & University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich.

At the end of the day, an artiste who adds her vast knowledge of Jazz language to her talent for gospel and blues, which, combined with her powerful stage presence and tremendous experience, make Alston one of most interesting contemporary voices.
