Paul San Martín, Jon Aira and Javier San Martín ‘Shaf’ are three musicians with a shared love of the blues and long careers to their names. Their repertoire visits styles ranging from those more often heard on the piano such as Boogie Woogie, Ragtime and Stride, to genres typically played on the guitar, such as Chicago Blues or Stax Funk Label. Their biggest influences include Professor Longhair, Dr John, Ray Charles, B.B. King, Albert King, Hound Dog Taylor, Memphis Slim, Eddie Taylor…

The Fake Cousins sets about recreating the atmosphere of the famous tiny southern US venues of the 40s in which the African-American community would meet to dance, sing, eat, drink and gamble, known as Juke Joints. In 2023 they released their first album, The Set-Up, a selection of top-notch Blues numbers suggesting a long and prosperous journey.
